The Phone field is essential for collecting accurate contact numbers from your respondents. Whether you are gathering leads or managing event registrations, this field ensures you get valid data.
International Phone Input
The most powerful feature of the Phone field is the International Phone Input setting. When enabled, it transforms the standard text input into a smart, location-aware field.
- Country Flag Dropdown: Automatically adds a searchable dropdown list of country codes and flags.
- Smart Formatting: As users type, the number is automatically formatted according to the conventions of the selected country (e.g.,
(201) 555-0123for the US,07400 123456for the UK). - Built-in Validation: Prevents users from submitting invalid phone numbers based on international dialing rules, eliminating typos and saving you from manually verifying leads.
Standard Usage
If you disable the international mode, the Phone field acts as a standard input optimized for numeric entry. Mobile devices will automatically display the numeric keypad (type="tel") to make typing easier for respondents.
